Colombo, Oct. 24 -- The Committee on Public Finance (COPF) has approved the Budget 2026 despite pending clarifications on some expenditure heads.

"We have given the green light for the budget as the government has assured that the issue pertaining to expenditure heads will be resolved during the committee stage of the budget," the committee said.
