Sri Lanka, Oct. 15 -- Committee on Public Accounts (COPA) has taken Colombo Municipal Council (CMC) to task for its failure to take action against an unauthorized funeral parlour on the land allocated for the construction of quarters for the administrator of Borella Kanatte.
As per the statement released from COPA, the committee has instructed CMC to conduct a probe and submit a report. COPA has then blamed the representatives who had been present during the recent committee meeting.
COPA instructed CMC to take legal action against the wrongdoer and report the progress to the committee.
