Sri Lanka, Sept. 21 -- Colombo, Sep.21 (Daily Mirror) - Over Rs. 8 billion has reportedly been misused without the approval of the Board of Governors of the Central Cultural Fund (CCF), according to Deputy Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Gamagedara Dissanayake.
He said that a committee appointed to investigate the matter has uncovered the large-scale financial mismanagement.
The Deputy Minister further noted that, once the committee's final report is submitted, legal action will be initiated against those found responsible for the misuse of public funds, irrespective of their position or status.
