Sri Lanka, Sept. 21 -- Colombo, September 21(Daily Mirror) - A committee has been appointed to investigate the fire that broke out at an electrical appliance store on 1st Cross Street, Pettah yesterday. The committee is headed by Deputy Minister of Public Security, Attorney-at-Law Sunil Watagala.

The fire, which erupted yesterday afternoon, was brought under control after a massive operation that lasted nearly 12 hours.

Firefighting units from the Colombo Municipal Council Fire Department, along with personnel from the Sri Lanka Air Force and Navy, were deployed to the scene.
