Sri Lanka, Aug. 3 -- A close associate of notorious underworld figure Prasad Chathuranga Kodagoda, also known as "Dubai Sudda," has been arrested by the Panadura Division Crime Investigation Unit, police said.

The suspect was found in possession of 4,665 milligrams of the narcotic substance known as ICE (crystal meth), which was seized during the arrest.

According to investigators, the arrest was made following a probe into two stolen motorcycles, which led officers to the suspect.

Police further suspect that the individual is linked to the drug trafficking operations controlled by "Dubai Sudda," allegedly using the 'eZ Cash' mobile payment system and coordinated through WhatsApp.
