Sri Lanka, July 16 -- The glaring number of child rape cases reported is both abominable and outrageous. We see how vulnerable our young children are, especially, when this dastardly crime is committed by one's own guardian or parent, as in the recent case of a police sergeant who had allegedly raped his own daughter. Again, a news report said a grandfather had allegedly raped his granddaughter aged 12 years.
These scandalous acts of perversion inflicted on helpless young girls of our country are taking place relentlessly, and the media is doing its rounds of exposing these vultures who stoop to debase and destroy the personality of our innocent children.
