Sri Lanka, July 30 -- Former Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) Horana electorate organiser Charith Abeysinghe was released from remand custody today (30) after fulfilling the bail conditions imposed by the Colombo Magistrate's Court.

Abeysinghe had remained in remand custody despite being granted bail on July 28, as he had not initially met the required bail conditions.

The Colombo Magistrate's Court granted bail on July 28 to three suspects in connection with an alleged Rs. 120 million bribery case.

They are former Justice Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe's son, Attorney-at-Law Rakitha Rajapakshe, former SJB Horana electorate organiser Charith Abeysinghe, and former Executive Director of Airport and Aviation Services Sri Lanka Limited Aruna...
