Sri Lanka, Feb. 6 -- The Colombo Chief Magistrate ordered that Chamithri Rambukwella, the elder daughter of former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, who was arrested by officers of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, be released on bail.
Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama granted bail on two sureties of Rs. 5 million each.
She was arrested on charges of aiding and abetting money laundering, an offence under Section 3(1) of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, No. 5 of 2006.
