New Delhi, Oct. 12 -- Central Electricity Authority (CEA) has announced a roadmap to achieve 100 GW of nuclear power capacity by 2047, aligning with India's energy and climate goals.

On its 52nd Foundation Day, CEA emphasized its role in policy-making and technological innovation for a sustainable electricity supply.

Secretary Pankaj Agarwal noted CEA's key contributions towards India's commitment to Net-Zero by 2070 and urged large-scale renewable integration and grid resilience.

CEA also released a Master Plan for the evacuation of 65 GW hydroelectric capacity in the Brahmaputra Basin, assisting developers in project planning.
