Sri Lanka, July 9 -- The Castle Road railway level crossing between Baseline and Narahenpita railway stations will be closed to vehicular traffic for 22 hours this weekend due to essential renovation work, the Railways Department said.

According to the Department, the crossing will remain completely closed from 9.30 a.m. on Saturday (July 11) until 7.30 a.m. on Sunday (July 12) while renovation work is carried out at the Castle Road level crossing on the Kelani Valley railway line.

During this period, train services between Colombo Fort and Narahenpita railway stations on the Kelani Valley Line will be suspended.
