Sri Lanka, Sept. 9 -- The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal to present the Appropriation Bill for the Financial Year 2026 to Parliament.
The Bill, prepared by the Legal Draftsman's Department, has received clearance from the Attorney General. It will now be published in the Government Gazette ahead of being formally tabled in Parliament for debate and approval.
The proposal was submitted by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in his capacity as the Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Development.
