SriLanka, March 22 -- The United States-Israel war on Iran has entered its fourth week, with intensifying strikes, rising casualties and growing fears of a wider regional and global crisis.

More than 1,400 people have been killed in Iran, while Tehran has continued missile and drone attacks on Israel and US-linked bases across the Middle East. The conflict is increasingly affecting energy infrastructure, global shipping routes and financial markets, as millions of Iranians marked Eid al-Fitr and Nowruz under the shadow of war.

Washington has signalled it may consider "winding down" operations, but ruled out a ceasefire, even as the United Kingdom confirmed it has allowed US forces to use its bases for strikes on Iranian targets.
