Sri Lanka, Sept. 21 -- Colombo,Sep.21 (Daily Mirror) - Watawala Police this morning recovered the body of a 62-year-old woman found hanging from a tree in her estate.
Chief Inspector Chandana Gamage of the Watawala Police said the deceased was identified as Kannan Manirani, a resident of the Kuilwatta area under the Watawala Police Division.
Police said the body was discovered after estate workers informed them that a woman had been found hanging from a tree with her saree.
The Watawala Police, together with the Hatton Police Divisional Investigation Team, have launched investigations to determine whether the incident was a case of suicide or murder.
