Colombo, Oct. 6 -- The police station located within the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) premises has been reopened, just 24 hours after it was abruptly closed down on official orders.
According to Police Headquarters, the station was shut down and all its property, including weapons, ammunition, books, and records, were removed following an order received on October 3rd. However, a subsequent order led to its re-establishment a day later.
The station has now resumed operations with a reduced number of officers compared to its previous deployment.
