Sri Lanka, Aug. 21 -- The Bar Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) has urged the Government to incorporate the subject of Law into the national school curriculum, highlighting its importance as a foundation for civic consciousness and democratic values.
In a letter addressed to Prime Minister and Education Minister Harini Amarasuriya, the BASL emphasised the need and justification to introduce Law or a related subject as a compulsory component at the primary level and as an elective subject at the G.C.E. Advanced Level.
