Sri Lanka, Nov. 3 -- The Galaha police have initiated a formal investigation of the death of a female student of Bellwood Aesthetic Studies Institute in Gampola whose body was found hanging from roof of a hostel on Saturday evening(01)

The deceased Vidushan Neethi was from Krishanpuram in Kilinochchi. Police had rushed to the scene on information from a fellow student and recovered the body hanging from a ceiling fan.

Investigations revealed that after appearing for an examination held in Colombo she had visited her home at Krishnapuram and returned to the hostel.
