Sri Lanka, Feb. 18 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced a suspension of water supply to several areas following a sudden breakdown in the main water supply line from Ambatale to Dehiwala.

Areas affected include Moratuwa, Rawathawatta, Zoysa Pura, Ratmalana, Mount Lavinia, Dehiwala, Wellawatte, Pamankada, Mulleriyawa, and Kolonnawa.

Water supply to the Battaramulla region is continuing under low water conditions.

The Board expects the water supply to be fully restored before 6:00 a.m. on 19 February 2026.

Consumers are advised to use water sparingly during the interruption. For inquiries, the Board's 1939 Call Center is available.
