SriLanka, May 9 -- Fourteen year old opener Miyuru Bandara shone with a ton for DS Senanayake College against traditional rivals Mahanama Colllege Colombo on day one of their 20th Battle of the Golds match played at the SSC ground yesterday.

Miyuru's ton included 13 boundaries and a six and he associated in two partnerships of an opening wicket stand of 67 with Sithru Gunaratne and 55 runs for the second wicket with Bihan Gamage.

DSS taking first lease of the wicket were on 195 for 4 having faced 64 overs before bad light hampered proceedings. The match will be continued today.
