Sri Lanka, July 3 -- The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) has announced that water supply will be temporarily suspended for 12 hours on Saturday (4) due to essential maintenance work on the power supply system feeding the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.

Accordingly, water supply will be disrupted from 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m. on the same day.

The areas affected by the suspension include Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Ratmalana, Moratuwa, Rawathawatta, and Soysapura.

The NWSDB said the interruption is necessary to facilitate maintenance work on the electricity supply system and expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to consumers.

Consumers are advised to use water sparingly during the affected period.
