Sri Lanka, Aug. 25 -- The Ministry of Health and Mass Media has called for applications from journalists for the "Homagama Journalists' Housing Scheme," introduced for media professionals working in print, electronic and online media institutions.

According to the Ministry, applicants must be permanent residents of Sri Lanka and should not own a house or land suitable for the construction of a house. Applicants must also have completed at least 10 years of service in the media sector.

A total of 27 housing units, each approximately 500 square feet in size, will be provided under the scheme. Applicants must be between 30 and 60 years of age.
