Sri Lanka, Aug. 6 -- In what seems to be a hint of the fate of the government, Opposition MP Chaminda Wijesiri told Parliament today that Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya is the leader of the National People's Power (NPP) and added that the suspension of his civic rights was prevented due to an excuse by her.

"You are the leader of the NPP. We know you are innocent. The suspension of my civic rights was prevented by you," MP Wijesiri told the Prime Minister.

"I don't want to engage myself with the hints which the MP is coming out with," the Prime Minister responded.
