Sri Lanka, Sept. 9 -- A new home loan scheme named 'Ethera Diriya' is set to be officially launched tomorrow (10), offering affordable housing loans to Sri Lankan expatriate workers ranging from Rs. 500,000 to Rs. 10 million.

Under the scheme, a portion of the interest payable on the loans will be reimbursed by the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE), helping reduce the financial burden on expatriate workers seeking to build or purchase homes.

The loans will be offered with a repayment period of up to 10 years, while applications can be submitted through both public and private sector banks.
