Sri Lanka, Sept. 5 -- The trilingual theatre festival, featuring 13 original plays by 14 child and youth theatre groups from across Sri Lanka, was held recently at Kolamba Kamatha, Colombo. Hosted by Stages Theatre Group (STG), the '3rd Bell Children and Youth Theatre Festival' brought together young artists from all over Sri Lanka -- from Bogawanthalawa, Galle, Jaffna, Marawila, Kahapola, Kelaniya, Modara, Anuradhapura, Avissawella and Colombo.

Run entirely by young people, the festival explored issues such as mental health, inequality, education, the environment, elderly care, blind conformity and the power of art.
