Mumbai, Oct. 5 -- VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, recorded sales of 11,396 units in September 2026, up 49.6 per cent from 7,619 units in September 2025.
The total included 11,146 units under the Eicher brand and 250 units under the Volvo brand.
Eicher-branded trucks and buses recorded sales of 11,146 units during the month, compared with 7,352 units in September 2025, registering growth of 51.6 per cent.
In the domestic commercial vehicle market, Eicher trucks and buses reported sales of 10,479 units, up 57.5 per cent from 6,652 units in the corresponding period last year.
Exports, however, declined 4.7 per cent to 667 units from 700 units in September 2025.
Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses recorded sales of 250 units during September 2026, compared with 267 units a year earlier, representing a decline of 6.4 per cent.
VECV has been operational since December 2008 and operates across Eicher trucks and buses, Volvo Buses, distribution of Volvo Trucks in India, engine manufacturing and exports for Volvo Group, non-automotive engines and the Eicher components business.
