Traffic Advisory At Vaishali Nagar Underpass Extended Till Sept 16

Mumbai, Sept. 8 -- Hyderabad - The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) has extended a traffic advisory at the Vaishali Nagar railway underpass until September 16 as road widening and a storm water drainage system are installed. The narrow underpass is prone to waterlogging during heavy rain, causing inconvenience and disruption to traffic. An initial 20 day advisory and a subsequent 29 day extension from July 16 proved insufficient to complete the works.

Authorities have therefore imposed a further 14 day advisory from September 3 to September 16 across roads and junctions in and around the underpass within the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate to enable completion. The extension is intended to allow contractors and machinery uninterrupted access and to reduce flood risk during the monsoon. Motorists are asked to follow diversion instructions and plan journeys accordingly.

Several diversion routes have been put in place. Traffic from My Home Mangala bound for Hafeezpet will be routed via the My Home Mangala T junction, a U turn towards Raghavendra Nagar Colony, the Hi?tension road and a left at the RTA office at Kondapur to reach the Hafeezpet ROB. Vehicles from the Telangana Contractors Cultural Club and from Myhome Jewel or the RTC Colony Manjeera pipeline road will be diverted towards the Hafeezpet ROB and the Kondapur?Allwyn junction, using available U turns to access Kondapur and Raghavendra Nagar Colony.

Traffic from Vasavi Lake City and Hafeezpet Lake heading to My Home Mangala and Raghavendra Nagar Colony will be diverted at the Spire One Apartments U turn towards the Hafeezpet ROB and then routed to the Kondapur?Allwyn junction. Vehicles approaching from Gopal Nagar and the old Hafeezpet route will take a right at the Hafeezpet RUB or underpass and proceed to the Kondapur?Allwyn junction, using the Government School U turn where necessary. Commuters are advised to heed signage and allow additional travel time while the works proceed.
