Mumbai, June 30 -- Tata Power Company Limited and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited inaugurated a high-speed TATA.ev MegaCharger Hub at iLabs Centre Private Limited in Hitec City, Hyderabad. The facility was launched to support the city's expanding electric vehicle community by providing faster and more reliable charging infrastructure. The companies said the hub is intended to reduce charging times and improve accessibility for a wide range of EV users across the metropolitan area.

The hub is designed to serve private vehicle owners, commercial fleets, ride-hailing services, intercity travellers and corporate commuters, with infrastructure tailored to varied usage patterns. It will address peak demand periods and support continuous operations in a busy technology and business district. Site selection at Hitec City reflects a focus on high-density commuter corridors and locations where rapid turnaround charging can add operational value.

Equipped with a total charging capacity of 360 kilowatt (kW), the MegaCharger Hub features three 120 kW dispensers, enabling up to six electric vehicles to charge simultaneously. The facility's configuration allows concurrent fast-charging sessions for mixed vehicle types and supports efficient energy management across dispensers. Operating round the clock, the hub reduces dwell time for vehicles and provides a dependable charging experience for commuters and fleet operators.

The launch forms part of broader efforts by the companies to expand public charging networks and to set a benchmark for future-ready EV infrastructure in the region. By improving charge availability near commercial and residential centres, the hub is intended to support wider EV adoption and contribute to reductions in tailpipe emissions through enabling electrified transport. The companies outlined these objectives in a press release and highlighted round-the-clock access as a convenience for varied user groups.
