Mumbai, Oct. 1 -- Sindhu Trade Links (STLL) has completed two strategic acquisitions worth Rs 9.23 billion, strengthening its presence across coal mining, logistics, mining services and infrastructure.

The company acquired a 78.26 per cent stake in Singapore-based Advent Coal Resources Pte Ltd for Rs 6.97 billion and a 50.10 per cent stake in Sainik Mining and Allied Services Limited (SMASL) for Rs 2.25 billion.

Advent Coal Resources effectively owns 100 per cent of the economic interest in an Indonesian coal project with an estimated resource of 620 million tonnes. Located in East Kalimantan, the project includes a 130-km logistics corridor connecting the mine to a deep-sea port and a proposed industrial cluster.

The SMASL acquisition expands STLL's capabilities across Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) contracts, overburden removal, coal extraction and transportation. SMASL has experience in long-term mining contracts and outsourced mining operations.

Among its major projects, SMASL holds a 24-year MDO contract with NTPC for the Dulanga Coal Mines. The company reported revenue of Rs 9.85 billion and EBITDA of Rs 1.02 billion in FY2025-26.

Vikas Singh Hooda, Chief Executive Officer, Sindhu Trade Links Limited, said, "The acquisitions mark an important milestone in Sindhu Trade Links' growth journey, strengthening its platform to participate in larger and more integrated opportunities across the natural resources and infrastructure landscape."

He added that the company plans to pursue opportunities in strategic mineral development through MDO and commercial mining, while expanding its international footprint.

The Advent Coal Resources transaction involved the allotment of 300.46 million equity shares on a preferential basis. The SMASL acquisition involved the allotment of 97.18 million compulsorily convertible preference shares, convertible into equity shares in a 1:1 ratio.

STLL said the acquisitions are expected to broaden its asset base and operating capabilities while supporting its plans to build a diversified mining and natural resources platform.
