Mumbai, July 21 -- Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd has secured an order from the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission, Department of Rural Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh to install hybrid solar rooftop systems with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) across multiple locations in the state. The project allocates 12 locations of 75 kilowatt (kW) each, taking the total allocated capacity to 900 kW. The company will be responsible for the design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of the hybrid solar systems integrated with BESS.

The hybrid solar systems are designed to provide reliable and uninterrupted clean energy while reducing dependence on conventional power sources and are presented as part of the state focus on decentralised renewable energy adoption. The project is expected to strengthen energy access across rural communities through sustainable and resilient power infrastructure. The work is positioned as supporting the state rural electrification initiative.

The company said that its whole-time director Sarika Bhatia welcomed the partnership with UPSRLM and indicated that the assignment reflects the firm's commitment to delivering sustainable energy infrastructure and supporting the wider adoption of solar power. The engagement is described as covering lifecycle services and long-term maintenance obligations. Implementation timelines and site specifics were not detailed in the announcement.

The announcement follows the company's continued effort to expand its presence in decentralised renewable projects in India. Market reaction on the day saw the company's shares close higher at Rs 97 on the NSE on Thursday, July 16. Analysts and stakeholders are monitoring execution given the focus on rural energy resilience.

The contract is intended to demonstrate the viability of hybrid rooftop installations with integrated storage for rural public infrastructure and to contribute to energy security at a local level. Servotech Renewable will handle project delivery and upkeep while coordinating with state authorities to deploy the systems across the designated locations.
