Mumbai, Sept. 8 -- South Central Railway (SCR) has extended the temporary stoppage of four trains at Hi-Tech City station to manage passenger demand during the forthcoming festive period and will operate special trains between Charlapalli and Tiruchanur on September four and September five, 2026. The decision is intended to provide an additional boarding option for commuters during peak travel days.

The additional stoppage will apply during Dussehra and Diwali from October 27 to November 10, 2026, and again during Christmas, New Year and Sankranthi from December 18, 2026 to January 19, 2027. The measure aims to ease congestion at Lingampalli and Secunderabad stations and to distribute passenger load more evenly across the suburban network.

The temporary halt at Hi-Tech City will cover train 17255 Narasapur-Lingampalli, which will arrive at 4:45 am and depart at 4:46 am, and train 17256 Lingampalli-Narasapur, which will arrive at 9:08 pm and depart at 9:09 pm. Train 12775 Kakinada Town-Lingampalli will halt from 7:10 am to 7:11 am, while 12776 Lingampalli-Kakinada Town will stop from 7:08 pm to 7:09 pm. Passengers who have tickets with Lingampalli as the boarding station may change their boarding point to Hi-Tech City without paying any additional charge, subject to the applicable railway procedure.

Special train 07025 will run from Charlapalli to Tiruchanur on Friday, September four, 2026, and the return service 07026 will operate on Saturday, September five. One service will be operated in each direction and the specials will call at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Guntur, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore and Renigunta stations.

The special services will comprise AC First cum AC 2-Tier, Sleeper Class and General Second Class coaches to provide additional travel capacity during the period of increased demand. SCR has advised passengers to consult official timetables and booking platforms for seat availability and coach composition ahead of travel.
