Mumbai, Oct. 7 -- Petros Stone LLP has unveiled a new collection of collectible furniture combining Bastar art with Indian natural stone in collaboration with Inch Studio at India Design ID Mumbai 2026.
The collection, being showcased from October 9-11 at Jio World Garden, BKC, Mumbai, brings together indigenous craftsmanship and natural stone to create limited-edition pieces for contemporary interiors.
The designs combine the sculptural and handcrafted character of Bastar art with natural stone selected, cut, shaped and finished by Petros Stone's processing teams. Developed with Inch Studio, the collection positions craft and material as equal elements of the design rather than using one merely as ornamentation.
The collection explores natural stone beyond its conventional use in architecture, applying it across furniture, rugs, glasswork and experimental finishes. Variations in colour, veining, texture and movement make each limited-edition piece distinctive.
"Indian stone has spent decades travelling across the world through architecture-in floors, facades and large-scale projects. We wanted to take it somewhere else," said Rishabh Jain, Director, International Business, Petros Stone LLP.
He added that combining Bastar art with processed natural stone allows the company to translate two Indian craft traditions into a contemporary design language.
Through the collaboration, Petros Stone is also looking to expand the use of natural stone beyond surfaces and structures into collectible objects for designers, luxury residences, hospitality projects and collectors.
The company said the collection reflects a broader effort to bring Indian materials, indigenous craftsmanship and contemporary forms together to create a distinctive modern luxury aesthetic with global relevance.
