Mumbai, Aug. 10 -- Oriom Group has entered the real estate sector with the launch of Oriom Realty, a dedicated business vertical that will develop residential, commercial, retail, hospitality and mixed-use projects across Odisha, beginning with Bhubaneswar and other emerging growth corridors.

The move marks the diversified industrial group's expansion beyond its businesses in steel and power, speciality chemicals and refractories. The company said the new venture is driven by Odisha's infrastructure-led industrialisation and urbanisation, which are expected to create sustained demand for organised real estate.

Founded in Jharsuguda and headquartered in Bhubaneswar, Oriom Group has completed 21 years of operations and employs over 3,000 people across multiple industrial facilities in eastern India. The group also developed four multi-storey residential projects in Jharsuguda in 2007 to address the city's growing housing demand.

"Odisha is entering its next defining growth cycle where industrial development will naturally create demand for modern cities, vibrant communities and quality real estate," said Deepak Agrawal, Director, Oriom Group. He added that Oriom Realty aims to develop urban communities that create long-term value for residents, businesses and investors.

Rajesh Agrawal, Founder and Director, said the company's engineering expertise, financial discipline and project execution capabilities would support its expansion into premium residential and commercial developments.

According to the company, Odisha's long-term development roadmap, including Vision 2036 and Vision 2047, identifies urbanisation, logistics, industrial competitiveness and regional economic corridors as key growth drivers. With the state's urbanisation level currently at around 17 per cent, it aims to reach 40 per cent by 2036 and 60 per cent by 2047.

Oriom Realty said it will leverage the group's engineering capabilities and governance practices to deliver projects focused on construction quality, sustainable design, technology adoption and customer engagement.
