Mumbai, Sept. 26 -- Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma chaired the sixth meeting of the Mizoram Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementing initiative, known as Mi-PRAGATI, at the CM Conference Hall in Aizawl on 23 September. The meeting reviewed follow-up action on decisions taken during earlier meetings and assessed progress on ongoing development projects across the state.
Officials from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways were asked to undertake urgent repairs on deteriorated sections of the KMMTTP within Mizoram. The meeting also called for faster resolution of pending compensation-related matters connected with the road infrastructure works.
The Paletwa-Kaletwa-Zochachhuah road project under the Ministry of External Affairs was also reviewed. The ongoing Paletwa-Zorinpui road project, which spans 109.2 km, has achieved 23.35 per cent physical progress and 30 per cent financial progress.
Railway authorities presented a progress report on the proposed Sairang-Hmawngbuchhuah railway line and briefed officials on upgradation works at Sairang Railway Station. The meeting decided that a separate session chaired by the Chief Minister would be held to examine railway-related matters in greater detail.
Officials also discussed the Rajiv Nagar Segment of the Indo-Bangladesh Border Fencing-cum-Road project, with representatives of the Ministry of Home Affairs joining online to provide an update. The need for urgent repairs on severely damaged road sections and the challenges affecting implementation were highlighted. The meeting further reviewed the Mizoram State Cyber Crime Coordination Centre's work on cybercrime and digital arrest cases, as well as pending issues arising from ongoing Aizawl-Tuipang National Highway works. A follow-up plan was formulated, with progress to be reviewed at subsequent Mi-PRAGATI meetings.
