Mumbai, July 21 -- Matrix Geo Solutions has secured a Rs 12.4 million contract from Central Railway to conduct precision track geometry surveys covering more than 300 km of railway lines using advanced geospatial technology.

The company received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) for the project, which will be executed over 18 months. The surveys are intended to assess track alignment, identify irregularities and support corrective measures to improve railway safety, operational efficiency and maintenance planning.

According to the company, the technology enables highly accurate measurement of track geometry, helping engineers detect alignment issues before they become safety risks. The surveys will support train operations at speeds of up to 160 km/h, while improving ride quality, reducing maintenance requirements and strengthening asset management across the railway network.

Amit Sharma, Whole Time Director, Matrix Geo Solutions, said the order strengthens the company's presence in the railway infrastructure sector and reflects the growing adoption of precision geospatial surveying technologies for rail modernisation.

The contract adds to Matrix Geo Solutions' portfolio of government infrastructure projects. The company said continued investment in railway expansion, capacity enhancement and network modernisation is expected to drive demand for advanced surveying and mapping solutions.
