Mumbai, July 21 -- Mangalam Worldwide Limited has installed and commissioned a 10.4 megawatt (MW) DC ground-mounted solar power plant at Handod in Karjan Taluka of Vadodara district in Gujarat. The company disclosed the development through a regulatory filing dated 13 July 2026 submitted to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited under Regulations 30 and 51 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The plant has been developed to meet the captive electricity requirements of the company's Halol manufacturing unit. Required land for the facility has been secured on a 25-year lease to ensure long-term operation.
The commissioning forms part of the company's plans to expand its renewable energy portfolio and to support its sustainability goals. By generating clean electricity for captive consumption the company expects to reduce dependence on conventional power sources and to improve energy security for its industrial operations. The move is intended to lower exposure to grid volatility and to provide more predictable energy supply for manufacturing.
Management indicated that the project is expected to help lower operational energy costs over the long term while significantly reducing the company's carbon emissions. The company described the shift toward renewable generation as a measure to strengthen environmental performance and to contribute to more sustainable business operations. The regulatory filing confirming the commissioning was signed by Soham Raval, company secretary and compliance officer of Mangalam Worldwide Limited.
In addition to business benefits the company said the project is expected to create positive environmental and social outcomes and to support the surrounding community. The initiative was presented as contributing to India's broader renewable energy transition and to the company's objective of increasing self?generated clean power for its manufacturing footprint. The deployment of the 10.4 MW plant represents a step in the firm's ongoing energy strategy.
