Mumbai, July 15 -- Koraam has secured an order from Sandip Electronics to supply five point eight megawatt (MW) of solar pump structures for a project in Maharashtra. The company said the contract covers the provision of structural mounting systems designed for solar powered water pumping installations across rural and peri urban locations. The award represents a notable shipment for the supplier and forms part of an expanding pipeline of infrastructure work in the region.
The structures will be engineered to withstand local climatic conditions and are intended to support photovoltaic modules paired with pumping equipment. Koraam will deliver components that facilitate installation and operation of solar irrigation systems, enabling firms and farming communities to deploy renewable energy for water management. Engineering, logistics and site coordination are integral to such deliveries and the company has allocated resources to meet the contract obligations.
Market observers note that orders of this nature reflect rising adoption of decentralised solar water pumping solutions across agricultural districts in the state. The deployment of dedicated mounting and support systems reduces reliance on diesel and grid electricity for pumping and can improve operational reliability. Stakeholders in the supply chain view such contracts as an indicator of sustained demand for utility and commercial scale solar pumping infrastructure.
Koraam said the contract will bolster its presence in the Asia Pacific market and align with its broader strategy to support renewable driven irrigation projects. The supplier will work with Sandip Electronics to ensure timely delivery and compliance with technical specifications while coordinating with local partners for on site integration. The deal will contribute to the company's order book and to wider efforts to expand solar pump adoption in Maharashtra.
