Mumbai, July 16 -- Union Minister of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy has announced the launch of India Mining Week 2026, a three-day conference and exhibition for the mining and minerals sector, to be held from November 15 to 17, 2026, at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. The announcement was made during the curtain-raiser event, where the summit logo and brochure were unveiled in the presence of Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey, senior officials from the Ministries of Coal and Mines, and industry representatives.

Organised under the theme 'Stronger Resources, Smarter Mining, Sustainable Tomorrow', the event will focus on technology adoption, sustainable mining practices, mineral security, digitisation, automation, mine safety and critical minerals. It is expected to bring together policymakers, mining companies, technology providers, investors, researchers and international stakeholders to discuss the future of India's mining sector.

Speaking at the launch, Reddy said the event reflects India's vision of building a technologically advanced, globally competitive and environmentally responsible mining industry. He highlighted reforms such as commercial coal mining, transparent auctions, accelerated mineral exploration and technology-led governance, which have strengthened India's position as an investment destination. During the event, the minister also launched the online portal for registration of coal exchanges and the eighth tranche of auctions for critical and strategic mineral blocks.

According to the organisers, India Mining Week 2026 is expected to attract more than 25,000 delegates, 500 exhibitors, 200 speakers, participants from over 50 countries, and more than 300 mining and mineral companies. The programme will include a conference, international exhibition, technical sessions, leadership dialogues, B2B meetings and technology demonstrations covering the entire mining value chain.
