The DMRC described the action as necessary for public safety and ordered suspension of services at the affected stations. The announcement was posted on X and advised commuters to allow extra travel time and monitor official channels for updates. The action followed security assessments and coordination with local agencies.

The closed stations comprise Lok Kalyan Marg, Rajiv Chowk, Patel Chowk, Ramakrishna Ashram Marg, Barakhambha Road, Supreme Court, Seva Teerth, Janpath, Mandi House, Central Secretariat, ITO, Delhi Gate, Indraprastha, Khan Market, Jor Bagh and Shivaji Stadium. The DMRC indicated that interchange facility will remain available at Rajiv Chowk, Mandi House and Central Secretariat to facilitate connections. Commuters travelling to or through the central area were urged to plan alternative routes. The list covers several key corridors and central landmarks.

The suspension affected multiple lines that serve central administrative and commercial districts, reducing direct station access and increasing reliance on available interchange points.
