Mumbai, Oct. 27 -- Current Infraprojects has received a Rs. 40.3 mn Letter of Award from the Border Security Force (BSF) for installing off-grid solar systems at 13 border outposts in Gujarat. The order also includes construction of reinforced-cement-concrete (RCC) battery rooms at the locations.

The project scope covers the installation, testing and commissioning of 25 kilowatt-peak (kWp) solar systems. It also requires the company to build battery rooms with RCC frames to support the energy storage infrastructure associated with the off-grid plants.

Current Infraprojects is required to complete the project within 12 months from the award date of 19 October 2026. The contract therefore covers work through the installation and commissioning stages, along with the construction of the battery-room facilities at the designated border outposts.

The supplied project description does not specify whether the 25 kWp capacity applies to each of the 13 outposts or represents the capacity for the entire order. If the stated capacity is for each location, the combined capacity across the outposts would be 325 kWp. If it refers to the aggregate project, the total capacity would remain 25 kWp.

The capacity clarification is relevant to assessing the scale of the order and the solar generation infrastructure to be deployed by Current Infraprojects. The award adds a government and border-infrastructure project to the company's order book, with delivery dependent on completing installation, testing, commissioning and battery-room construction within the specified 12-month period.
