
Mumbai, July 15 -- Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Limited has received a letter of empanelment and a rate contract from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited for the design, manufacture, supply, transport, installation, testing and commissioning of off-grid DC solar photovoltaic water pumping systems. The award covers an order for 3000 solar photovoltaic water pumping systems with a total work order value excluding GST of Rs 649.9 million (mn) approximately. The contract is under the MTSKPY/PM-KUSUM-B scheme for deployment at various locations across the State of Maharashtra.
The scope of work includes complete system warranty, repair and maintenance and a remote monitoring system for five years, and encompasses end-to-end responsibilities from design through commissioning. The company will be responsible for logistics and on-site testing and will deliver systems equipped with remote monitoring capabilities to support operational uptime. The contract specifies standard commercial terms and compliance requirements as per state procurement norms.
Execution of the order is to be completed within 60 days from the date of issue of the notice to proceed or work order, indicating a compressed delivery timeline. The company has informed the stock exchanges in accordance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI listing obligations and disclosure requirements and has appended the required annexure with detailed terms. No promoter group interest or related party involvement has been recorded in relation to this contract.
The domestic award reinforces the company's order book in the renewable and rural electrification segment and supports its participation in government schemes promoting decentralised solar pumping solutions. The contract is expected to strengthen supply chain engagement across the state and enhance after-sales service commitments through the five year maintenance provision. The company will mobilise resources and partner with local vendors to meet the execution schedule.
