Mumbai, Aug. 5 -- CenturyPly has launched Total Cover, a comprehensive warranty programme that reimburses furniture-related expenses arising from confirmed defects in its Club Prime and Architect Ply products within ten years of purchase.

The cover extends beyond replacing defective plywood and includes the cost of laminates or veneers, adhesives, labour and transportation required to rebuild or repair the affected furniture.

The company developed the programme after centralising customer complaints from across India around two and a half years ago. Its review found that customers were often more concerned about the wider cost and disruption associated with dismantling and rebuilding furniture than the plywood replacement itself.

CenturyPly subsequently worked on resolving cases end-to-end while developing the service infrastructure, technical inspection process and assessment systems required to offer the warranty nationally.

Keshav Bhajanka, Executive Director, CenturyPly, said Total Cover was designed as a financial commitment rather than another product claim. He added that the initiative was backed by the company's four decades of manufacturing experience.

Nikita Bansal, Executive Director, CenturyPly, said traditional plywood warranties generally focused only on product replacement. Total Cover addresses expenses linked to dismantling furniture, replacing laminates and veneers, and paying for labour and transportation again.

Customers must register their purchase online within 90 days to receive a digital warranty certificate. Claims can be initiated through CenturyPly's warranty portal or toll-free customer support and will be assessed through technical inspection and a structured service process.

After the ten-year Total Cover period ends, Architect Ply will continue to carry its lifetime product warranty, while Club Prime will retain the remaining portion of its 20-year warranty.

CenturyPly said the programme aims to shift competition in the plywood category from product claims towards measurable financial accountability and customer protection.
