Mumbai, Aug. 28 -- B.R. Goyal Infrastructure has received a Rs 1,510.6 million (mn) letter of award from the National Highways Authority of India for operating as the user-fee collection agency at Jajau Fee Plaza on the Agra-Gwalior section of NH-3 in Madhya Pradesh. The one-year mandate covers the collection of user fees through e-tendering and the upkeep and maintenance of adjacent toilet blocks, including replenishment of consumables. The assignment requires the installation and management of electronic tolling interfaces alongside routine operational oversight.
The company is primarily engaged in constructing infrastructure projects such as roads, highways, bridges and buildings, and the fee collection mandate complements its operational portfolio. On a full-year basis the company's consolidated net profit rose 15.1 per cent to Rs 251.8 million (mn) while net sales fell 13.4 per cent to Rs 5,098.0 million (mn) in FY25 compared with FY24. These figures reflect a mix of margin improvement and reduced turnover across its contracting activities.
The scrip declined 3.23 per cent and was trading at Rs 191.60 on the BSE at the time of reporting, indicating investor reaction to the earnings mix and market conditions. The firm will be responsible for daily fee reconciliation, maintenance of hygiene facilities and ensuring continuity of service at the plaza during the mandate period. The operational requirements are consistent with typical user fee collection contracts awarded by highway authorities.
The award adds a short-term revenue stream while leveraging the company's existing field capabilities and project management structure. Careful execution of the e-tendering platform and upkeep obligations will determine cash flows during the one-year engagement. The company remains engaged in its core construction activities while operating the plaza under the supervision of the authority. The authority will oversee compliance and performance metrics during the contract period.
