
Mumbai, Sept. 1 -- ACME Solar (ACME) has secured project financing worth Rs 15.71 bn from India Infrastructure Finance Company Ltd (IIFCL) to fund its renewable energy projects. The financing was arranged to support development and execution of solar assets and to bolster the company's project financing capacity. The transaction reflects growing institutional interest in utility scale solar projects. The announcement followed routine corporate disclosures to regulators and stakeholders.
The funds will be directed towards ongoing and forthcoming project construction, providing long term capital for equipment procurement, grid interconnection and commissioning activities. ACME intends to use the financing to accelerate project schedules and reduce reliance on short term borrowings. The facility is designed to align repayment schedules with project cash flows and to support staggered commissioning phases.
