New Delhi, July 9 -- PhonePe has promoted Srijon Biswas to Chief Technology Officer (CTO), strengthening its engineering leadership as the fintech company scales its financial services portfolio and prepares for its next phase of growth.

Biswas, who joined PhonePe in 2016 and most recently led engineering for the company's financial services business, will now oversee the entire engineering organisation. He will continue reporting to Co-founder Rahul Chari, who has assumed the expanded role of Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO).

The leadership changes reflect a broader reorganisation of PhonePe's technology function as the company continues to diversify beyond its core UPI payments business.
