New Delhi, Sept. 17 -- Indian small and medium enterprises appear ready to spend more on cybersecurity. Whether that spending translates into stronger cyber resilience is a more complicated question.

A new study by Tata Tele Business Services (TTBS) and CyberMedia Research (CMR) finds that 84% of Indian SMEs plan to increase cybersecurity investments over the next 12 to 24 months.

Among medium-sized enterprises, that figure rises to 89%.

On the surface, the numbers point to cybersecurity becoming a more established business priority. But underneath the investment intent is a much less mature operational picture.
