New Delhi, June 29 -- The Government of Gujarat, the Indian AI Research Organisation (IAIRO), and IBM have announced plans to establish an Industrial Artificial Intelligence (AI) Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Gujarat to accelerate AI innovation, workforce skilling, and ecosystem development for industrial sectors.

The proposed Centre of Excellence will focus on the application of AI across asset-intensive industries, including manufacturing, energy, utilities, and supply chains, with the aim of improving operational efficiency, safety, resilience, and quality. The initiative is also expected to support Gujarat's ambition of becoming a hub for Industrial AI built on sovereign AI technologies.
