New Delhi, March 12 -- Google is pushing deeper into the AI-powered browser race by bringing its Gemini assistant directly into Chrome for users in India. The rollout places generative AI inside the browsing experience itself, signalling how AI assistants are gradually becoming part of everyday digital workflows rather than standalone tools.
Announced on March 11, the feature introduces Gemini in Chrome, allowing users to access Google's AI assistant directly from the browser interface. The rollout comes nearly a year after the feature first launched in the United States and now expands availability to India, New Zealand, and Canada.
