New Delhi, June 23 -- Artificial intelligence has emerged as the top technology investment priority for U.S. healthcare organizations heading into 2026, but most providers, payers and health-tech firms are still struggling to build the foundations needed to deploy AI at scale, according to a new industry survey.

The State of AI in Healthcare 2026 survey by Emids, conducted in partnership with ServiceNow, found that 65% of senior healthcare executives rank AI and automation as their top investment priority for next year. Yet 59% of organizations remain in the early or developing stages of AI maturity, highlighting a gap between AI ambitions and operational readiness.
