New Delhi, Sept. 5 -- AI is compressing the timeline of financial fraud while giving banks and financial institutions new tools to detect it. The result is an accelerating contest in which both attackers and defenders are using AI to identify patterns, automate decisions and act at machine speed.
For decades, the contest between institutions and fraudsters played out at a slower tempo. Criminals found a gap, institutions wrote a rule to close it, and the cycle repeated. AI is now changing that equation on both sides.
Many of the signals that once made scams easier to spot - broken grammar, generic greetings or poorly constructed websites - are becoming less reliable.
