Mumbai, Nov. 5 -- The US treasury yields slumped on Wednesday following the Democratic party's overwhelming win in the US midterm elections. Markets eyed the political shift that led to a massive collapse in crude oil prices as Democrats won the House of Representatives and the Senate, triggering hopes of a quick conclusion to the ongoing US-Iran war. The 10-year US Treasury yield slipped to 4.84% today, adding to losses in last session and approached near two-month low.
