States raise Rs 17,900 crore through SGS auction; Gujarat accepts additional Rs 1,000 crore
Mumbai, June 23 -- State governments and Union Territories raised Rs 17,900 crore through the auction of State Government Securities (SGS) on Tuesday, exceeding the notified amount of Rs 16,900 crore after Gujarat accepted an additional Rs 1,000 crore across two securities.
Bihar raised Rs 2,400 crore through two re-issued securities. The state borrowed Rs 1,200 crore through the re-issue of the 7.69% Bihar SGS 2035 at a cut-off price of Rs 100.43, translating into a yield of 7.6199%.
Another Rs 1,200 crore was raised through the re-issue of the 7.84% Bihar SGS 2041 at a cut-off price of Rs 100.49 and a yield of 7.7828%.
